A Session With The Shelter Animals • Wakefield RI Animal Photographer
Recently I decided that I would like to volunteer at my local shelter (South Kingstown Animal Shelter) and take photos of their animals. The shelter is a special place to me; we got our kitten Lionel there in October and our previous furbaby Reina came from the same shelter. I thought it might make sense for the animals there to get some photos done to present their best selves to future adoptive families who might see the animals' photos online. Last Sunday was my first time photographing the animals at the shelter. I got to meet a number of animals (and I didn't even bring any home!). Each one had a very distinct personality and a few were a little bit camera shy, but I got great photos of all of them. If you're interested in adopting a pet from the South Kingstown Animal Shelter, you can find them on Petfinder (or even better, just swing by for a visit to see your future family member in person!) Scroll down to take a look at all the cuties I got to spend time with. Also, a special thanks to Selena and Alana at the shelter for helping out with the animals while I was photographing them; couldn't have done it without you guys!
PS: You can now sign up for my newsletter on several places on my website, including at the end of blog posts going forward (and I also added it retroactively to my last post). I'd be very happy if you did so, and I think you would be, too!
