Just One Photo • Just Breathe (and don't fall over) • Wakefield RI photographer
In keeping with my yoga theme this week (the last post was yoga photos, I went to yoga tonight, yoga is just a good thing), here's another photo all about yoga. Because I live on the edge, and because it's been awhile since I took any self portraits, I decided, "Why not take some self portraits in yoga poses?" This sounded like a STELLAR idea. Self portraits always take about sixty times longer than a normal portrait so I didn't get to do everything I wanted to do. But I did get to do crow. I am no longer a bendy person, or at least not as bendy as I was when I was a young gymnast. I can bend over backwards but my legs and hips are decidedly tight and un-stretchy from years of running and, you know, not stretching as much as I should. So I am not good at a lot of yoga poses that require any sort of lower body flexibility. But this one? This one I can do. I actually used to do this when I was a kid, before I even knew it was yoga. I just thought it as fun. (I grew up in the woods, we had to find ways to entertain ourselves. Don't judge me). Taking photos of someone else (someone more bendy than I, perhaps) would be even more amazing so if you want to be that person, let me know. Ommmmmmmmm.
