Project Light: March II • South County RI Family Photographer

March has been a hard month for me for this project.  Its light topic is cool light, and as I mentioned in my blog post with photos from the first half of March, cool light is not always my jam.  Maybe sometimes.  But normally, when I'm seeking out light for shoots as a RI family photographer, or even taking photos for myself, I'm looking for warm light.  Backlight.  Glowing light.  Really, anything but cool light.

Although the truth is that sometimes looking for cool light made me want to stomp my feet and throw a tantrum, I decided to act my age, not my shoe size (thanks, dad, for that piece of wisdom) and embrace this challenge the best I could.

The second half of March apparently occurred largely in my yellow and white kitchen, which seems to be a hotbed of cool light.  It also included another trip to Jamestown to pick up another wonderful cake from Isis Cakes (and a view of the Newport Bridge); a horse farm in South Kingstown right at sunset; a robin in the snow on the second day of spring; and obviously, the cat.  To take a look at the second half of March, look below.  What was your favorite part of your March?  Let me know in the comments!
