Spring in North Kingstown • RI Children's Photographer
As a RI Children’s photographer, I love having a princess closet in my studio with plenty of fun dresses for clients to choose from. And it’s always a great day when the mail comes and I get a big box that has another lovely dress in it! I’ve added a few new dresses to the collection this past spring, expanding the available size range (sizes now available through girls’ 12/14) and also adding some different colors and fabrics in! It’s important to me that there are lots of choices available.
Several weeks ago I had the pleasure of being able to photograph a lovely young lady wearing one of the newest dresses for the first time. The name of this dress is “Spring Lily” and it sure does evoke spring and the beautiful flowers that come with it! We went to North Kingstown, to a hidden little location that makes for the nicest backdrop in spring and summer. It may look like just a dirt road, but looks can be deceiving! This spot is near a local fishing hole and a few of the fishermen commented on how lovely my subject and her dress were and wondered aloud if we were there for prom photos. Not quite yet—she’s got quite a few years left until that comes around—but it’s not every day you see a young lady out dressed up in such a fancy dress!
Right before the session I managed to find some peonies that complemented the dress colors perfectly and made for some nice poses. We also found out that this dress is great for swishing and twirling around, especially when you get to see the surprise pink tulle underneath! It was a dreamy session and I can’t wait to photograph the next princess in this beautiful dress…it’s just perfect with summer greens and flowers. Take a look below to see some of our session!
