Three Tips For An Amazing Sibling Photo Session • RI Children's Photographer
Whether you've got 2 kids or 12 or anywhere in between, getting them together for a sibling photo session can seem a little overwhelming, but the photos of your kids together will be the best artwork you have hanging on your wall. You'll never regret having your kids photographed.
So what can you do before and during the session to help things go smoothly? That's where I come in to help! As a RI children's photographer, I've photographed lots of siblings and I definitely take the time to make sure your photos come out amazing. And I've got some tips for you to make sure the photos you get are ones you'll treasure forever. Want those tips? Check them out below!
1. It's all about the outfits
Gone are the days when the entire family takes photos wearing jeans and white t-shirts. There's no need for everyone to be totally "matchy", but it IS good to coordinate. Base everyone's outfits around the same two or three colors and I promise you that photos will look GREAT! It's a really simple tip that goes a long way. Also, keep the sneakers, hoodies, logos, and crazy prints at home.
2. You can relax!
I know you want those great smiling photos of your kids, where they look natural and happy and relaxed. It can be a little stressful to let someone else take charge, pose them, and tell them what they need to do. Trust me, I've got this! You can sit back and relax, watch, even take a nap! (mamas, I KNOW you're tired, so if you take a nap, I will not judge you. At all.) And if I need your help, especially with those really little ones, I will definitely call you in for the assist.
3. Sometimes things get silly...and trust me, it's awesome.
We will absolutely get some traditional photos in. And then we might get a little crazy. You can't be serious all the time, whether you're a kid or an adult. Photos of kids being happy, silly, and themselves often end up being some of the greatest ones from the session because you can see their personalities REALLY shine through.
