Winter: it’s cold. Sometimes it snows. Some people don’t mind it, especially those who like winter sports like skiing. Even though a lot of outdoor photo sessions do happen during winter, it’s not always the time that parents think of as prime time to have a session done.
You know what kind of sessions are perfect for winter? Studio photo sessions. There are multiple reasons why having studio portraits of your children done is a perfect choice for winter. As a RI children’s photographer, I can’t recommend this time of year enough as the best time to book your studio portrait session. Read on to find out why.
IT’S NICE AND WARM.
This may seem like the world’s biggest no-brainer, but it’s true. No standing outside in the cold. No need to bundle up. My studio is nice and warm even when the weather outside is frightful. Want to have your kids wear tank tops for their photos? It’s totally possible with a studio portrait session in my Charlestown studio. Everyone will be nice and comfortable.
THEY’RE BETTER THAN SCHOOL PORTRAITS
School portraits: sometimes they’re adorable. Sometimes you don’t get what you bargained for. Maybe your kids have goofy looks on their faces. Maybe the background isn’t great, maybe your child decided that fluorescent and plaid were a good fashion choice for picture day. That one photo is just not your dream portrait of your child. When you bring your children in for a studio portrait session with AKP, we’ll have already discussed the perfect wardrobe (I’ve got lots of pieces to choose from, too, if you wish). I’ll work with your child or children on the perfect poses and we’ll capture their personalities. You’ll end up with plenty of images so that you can put the perfect portraits on your walls. All the products I offer are heirloom quality so they’ll bring you and your family joy for generations to come, just like all those photos that you’ve been looking at and enjoying in your family since you were little.
PETS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME
Pets are welcome at any AKP session! But sometimes it’s stressful to have a small pet at an outside session. Got a kitty who is a little skittish or frisky who you’re dying to have photographed with your kids? No problem, a studio session is perfect for that! I love animals and have plenty of portraits of them, and I know it’s important for you to include your furry family members in your family’s portraits.
