Fall is quickly approaching—it’s just two days away (can you believe it?) There’s already been a little bit of a change in the air. It’s not as hot, nights are cooler, and the days are shorter. Football games have started, and pretty soon flannel shirts will be everywhere.
Best of all, the leaves will be changing in just a few short weeks. In fact, there are already some trees that are showing the very first signs of color change, and peak foliage in our area is just about a month away at most. As a RI family photographer, this is one of my very favorite times of year for photographs! Fall sessions are fantastic, and if you don’t have one already scheduled for this year, read on for four reasons why you should book yours ASAP!
THE FOLIAGE!
Fall foliage makes for one of the most beautiful natural photo backdrops of all. It’s amazing what nature can do. While photos any time of year are wonderful, those taken against a backdrop of changing fall leaves just have that extra “something”. Wouldn’t it be great to have your own memorable photos against a foliage background?

Don’t like the heat or humidity (or mosquitoes and other pests) of summer? Fall is most definitely your season for photos. The weather is cooler but comfortable, allowing for photos in cozy sweaters and boots!
The light in fall is just magical. The sun is lower in the sky and light is warm and golden. Sometimes it seems like everything around you is lit up in gold. And that gold light goes beautifully with changing fall leaves!
