I have a horrible time making decisions so I’m not sure if I could pick a favorite time of year to do sessions. I love all of them. That said, there’s something special about fall sessions, and as a RI family photographer, I love when clients pick fall sessions. The light, the leaves, the colors…fall sessions are just magical!

So I was super happy when a mom reached out to me to schedule a fall session for her kids. I’ve photographed them a few times before and I was so excited that they wanted to come back and see me again! Mom said her daughter wanted to wear one of my princess dresses (yes! let’s make it happen) and we came up with a plan on what her son could wear to hop in a few shots as well.

We planned our session for mid-November. While that’s past peak foliage time, I knew just the spot in West Kingston where we could still get some nice fall color in the background. The afternoon of our session was warm and had the MOST beautiful light. You never know what you’re going to get in November, but we really lucked out. Our session was so much fun. There was twirling, leaf throwing, and did I mention the gorgeous light?! Check out some of the images from our session below.
