Charlestown Maternity Session | RI Maternity Photographer
Maternity sessions are wonderful sessions full of expectation, excitement, and joy. You are literally celebrating the impending arrival of a whole new person who will be here very soon. It’s always a pleasure when I get to do a maternity session.
Abby and Aaron’s session was no exception. They are expecting their first baby shortly. Not only did they bring themselves to their session, but they also brought their dog, Theo. As a photographer, it always makes me smile (and say yes) when I’m asked if a pet or pets can join the session. Yes, absolutely! Pets are our family members, too.
Our session took place in April. We were looking for a location that had a green backdrop, but the leaves were not yet out on the trees. Not to worry, we went to one of my favorite pine forest locations in Charlestown where the pine trees will provide green in the background.
The session went fantastic. Abby, Aaron, and Theo were all so easy to work with (and Theo had a bow tie…clearly he is a well dressed dog!) Abby was at the perfect stage of pregnancy for her maternity photos. (Tip: the best time for maternity photos is between 32 and 36 weeks when your bump is showing but you’re not super uncomfortable.) We had a great day with beautiful weather which really helped. April in Rhode Island could go either way! I’m so excited for them to welcome their little guy in just a few weeks.
