Studio Senior Portrait Session | Charlestown RI Senior Photographer
I’ll tell you a secret: I LOVE studio photography. OK, maybe that’s not even a secret, but it’s true. I love the versatility and seemingly endless options that on location sessions offer, but nothing beats the ease and simple beauty of a studio session.
One of my last senior sessions this past fall was a studio session. Miss E, a South Kingstown class of 2022 senior, reached out to me in October. Her senior photos were due soon. Was there still time to get them done? Yes! I had one opening left before senior photos were due; it was in my Charlestown studio.
When Miss E showed up for her session, I fell in love with her style and artsy vibe. We talked about her love for art, her jobs, and her plans for next year, which (hopefully) include RISD. Her outfit choices went amazingly with the simple white backdrop she chose, and allowed her and her personality to stand out and shine for the whole session. Her Doc Martens transported me back to my own senior year and made me feel like I was 17 again. (I still have Docs and every time I wear them I’m 17 in my mind!) The session felt like a shoot for a fashion magazine; it was a blast.
