Project 365: Into December • RI Children's Photographer

I'm now into the home stretch on this year's project 365.  Only a few days left of taking a photo each and every day.  Doing a project like this is fantastic for photography growth.  It can also be tiring to pick up your camera every day, especially on days when you're tired or busy or not feeling super creative.  Or those days when you really want to take a photo of the cat, and he isn't cooperative.  At all.  Sometimes cats are divas.  What can you do?

That said, there is a sense of accomplishment in doing a photo-a-day project.  I've said this before, but it's something that I can't recommend highly enough for any and all photographers.  It's a great way to look back and remember your year and see how your photography has grown and changed.

December is an interesting month.  It's dark, literally....the darkest day of the year comes in December.  It's (usually) cold.  But yet there are lights everywhere.  In windows.  Christmas lights. There is the hope and joy of the holiday season.  The sunsets that occur December through February are the most beautiful ones of all, and I was lucky enough to capture one the first day of December.  There was also some snow, some Lionel, and a whole lot of Lensbaby action.  Take a look below to see it all.  What is your favorite part of December?  Let me know in the comments!
