Bark Box: One Dog's Review • RI Family Photographer

This guest post/review is brought to you by my dog, Lemmy.

Hi.  I'm Lemmy.  I'm just about seven months old, and my parents adopted me from the Animal Rescue League in February.  I really wowed them with my friendly personality.  I licked their faces the first time we met.  Other dogs told me that's going to far, but I just knew they loved it.  Obviously it worked, because they brought me home.

I love to go on walks and hikes, go to the dog park, play with my best friend Duke, and chew on stuff.  I do a lot of chewing.

I'm going to be frank with you:  I'm pretty spoiled.  I have an older brother who's a cat (you've probably seen lots of photos of him...my mom is a RI family photographer and she is ALWAYS taking photos of my brother when she's not at a session)...anyhow, my brother is pretty low maintenance.

NOT ME.

I like to play lots, and I need lots of treats and toys and fancy things.  At least that's what my mom seems to think.  We're always going to Benny & Jack to get my food or some yummy stuff to chew.  My mom also signed up for this thing called Bark Box.  I've seen commercials for it on TV, and she must have, too, because she signed up!  Every month, the box comes right to our door.

I can't read very well yet, so I'm not always sure when it's Bark Box day, or if the box mom got is one from that place "Amazon" that she loves so much.  But she always tells me when my Bark Box is here, and I get excited, because I know it's ALL MINE!

There is SO much good stuff in my box.  It's so much fun to open, because each month there is a theme!  This month's theme is ancient Egypt.  Last month's was a pirate theme.  That might be my favorite so far.

There are always tasty treats that are wheat free, and often totally grain free.  This is good, because grains aren't great for my tummy.  Look what I got this month.

I'm doing well with my training, but Mom and Dad still give me treats from time to time when I'm learning something new or when I've been a really good boy.  I'm going to be EXTRA good to get these.

There's also a SUPER yummy chew treat that comes in each box, but I already chewed that as soon as we opened the box.  Duh.

Guess what else comes in my Bark Box?  Toys!  I LOVE toys and I sort of destroy them really fast.  It's a gift I have.  So it's always good when my box comes and there are fresh new toys.  They're fun, because they usually squeak or make crinkly noises.  This month, I got a big beetle.  Mom's saving him for a few weeks, darn it.  I also got a squirrel.  I shake him around a lot.  I think he's sleeping on the living room floor right now.  He looks so peaceful!

There's stuff in the box for my mom too, like stickers and a fun card with facts and stuff.  I think that's all boring.  I just want the toys!  But she seems to like it.  I'm really glad my mom signed up for Bark Box.  I always enjoy everything in it.  I heard mom saying it's reasonably priced, but I'm a dog so I don't know much about money.  If you have a dog, I bet they would love a Bark Box.  I'm a dog and I love mine!  If you'd like to sign up your pup for a monthly box of fun, do it here.  Your dog will thank you!
