Four Reasons To Have Family Portraits Taken THIS YEAR | RI Family Photographer

It’s always a great day when a family steps in front of my lens. As a RI family photographer, I’m so passionate about spreading the word about having family photos done. Families grow and change quickly, and time passes and suddenly those little babies are tweens and teens and you don’t know where the time went. Maybe you have had family photos taken before, but you had only two kids and now you have three, or maybe now you have a dog, or you’ve moved to a whole new location, or have a recently blended family, or any number of other things.

The bottom line is that there is never a bad time to have family portraits taken, and there are SO many reasons why you should have them done sooner rather than later. If you’re still on the fence, though, here are four reasons you should have them taken this year. Reach out to me to schedule your family’s portraits. We’ll be creating your family’s legacy.

1. Preserve Generational Legacy

Family portraits create a visual legacy that can be passed down through generations. When you capture your family in photos, you’re creating something future generations can look back on and connect with their roots.

2. Celebrate Milestones

Whether it's a new addition to the family, a graduation, an anniversary, or any other major event, portraits are a way to mark important milestones and remember them for years to come.

3. Showcase Family Growth

Families change over time—kids grow, relationships evolve, and people change. A family portrait is a great way to capture these changes and reflect on the growth your family has experienced over the years.

4. Decorate Your Home with Meaning

Portraits of your family make beautiful, meaningful artwork for your home. It’s a great way to personalize your space with images that reflect your love and connection to one another. Plus, it’s always a conversation starter!
