Charlestown Senior Session | RI Senior Photographer
Photographing high school seniors is awesome. I get to interact with young people who are on the edge of something big. They’re coming to an end of one chapter of their lives and the beginning of another. The seniors from these last two years have also dealt with challenges that none of us could have ever imagined and are doing it with strength and grace.
Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Matt’s senior photos. Matt is a class of 2021 senior at South Kingstown. He also grew up across the street from me, and while it may be a cliche to say time flies, it really does. I can’t believe he’s already in his senior year!
Our session was on an unseasonably warm November day, in a great wooded location in Charlestown. Matt wanted his photos to reflect his personality and style, which we really captured. He’s always been an awesome kid and was great to work with. I always love talking with my seniors throughout our session as I get an insider view of what young peoples’ likes, dislikes, hopes, fears, and dreams are nowadays. A lot of them aren’t that different from when I was a teenager (you know, just a few years ago) but some are very different. I'm always so appreciative of all I learn from them.
