If you are a mom, grandma, aunt, uncle, dad, or loved one of little ones who has a DSLR just sitting around the house, this is the perfect class for you.  Do you never know what mode or buttons to use to get the pictures you really want of sports games, recitals, vacations, or your kids just being kids around the house?  This three-hour workshop is a great place to start learning the basics so you can put yourself on the path to using that camera to take the photos you want to be taking.  You don't have to be stuck in auto mode forever!

The workshop will be held Sunday, March 3 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at AKP’s studio located at 4259 Old Post Rd, Unit 2, in Charlestown.

Each participant will receive a bound booklet that is yours to keep and continue learning from even after the workshop.  

You should bring:

• Yourself!

• A DSLR with at least one lens

• A flash if you have one

• Something to write with

• A willingness to have fun and learn!

Please note that registrations for this workshop are final, so please make sure that you are able to attend at the date and time the workshop is occurring.  Payments are nonrefundable, but may be transferred to any other service AKP provides, including photo sessions and one on one learning.

This is a one-year membership to the Ask Amy Facebook photography forum. This forum is full of photography questions and answers of all kinds. Topics of discussion will include technical info, gear info, post-processing, editing, business, and everything in between.  This forum is fantastic for beginner and intermediate photographers and also those who are new to business or trying to get their business to the next level. Additionally, the class content previously available through my mentoring sector will now be exclusively available to all forum members.  This group will be kept at a relatively small size to allow more personalized attention to members.  

Your membership will be effective for one year.   Approximately two weeks before your yearly membership expires, you will be sent a reminder email asking if you choose to renew your membership.  If you choose not to renew, you will be removed from the group.

Once you purchase a membership, you will be sent an email with a link to the forum so that you can request to join.  The name you use on Facebook is a required field with this membership registration so that I can match forum registrations with requests to join the group.  I can't wait to see you there!
